Emma Williams is the cook, writer, photographer and “modern girl” behind the popular food website Modern Girls Kitchen. Through her work as an advertising and public relations professional, Emma has worked with FiveStar Professional Ranges and Chef Rick Bayless, as well as with media such as HGTV, Fine Living and Better Homes & Gardens. Her freelance work has appeared in Her Sports, Trail Runner and Organic Producer magazines as well as on Active.com and Ironman.com. She has also served as restaurant critic for the Chattanooga Pulse. 

Emma launched ModernGirlsKitchen.com in 2005 as a way of helping other 30-somethings understand that (contrary to what we sometimes see on TV) great cooking, dining and entertaining doesn't have to mean spending all day in the kitchen (nor does it require an unlimited budget, a staff of twenty, or endless supplies of white table linens). All it takes is spirit, adventure and an appetite for fun.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Emma currently lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee (USA) where she frequently subjects friends and family to her cooking, baking and entertaining projects.
